Search
Search is the org-wide “find anything” surface. The same query powers two views:
- Cmd / Ctrl + K palette — a quick, data-first dropdown for jumping straight to a record or running a command (New Matter, Add Participant, Go to Settings…).
- The
/searchpage — the full results list behind every “See all results” link, with the query in the URL so it’s bookmarkable and shareable.
What it searches
Section titled “What it searches”| Section | Matches on |
|---|---|
| Clients | Client / contact name, business name, email, phone |
| Matters | Matter name, file/reference number, description |
| Documents | Document filename, within matters you can access |
| Invoices | Invoice number, matter, bill-to client |
Multi-word queries match in any word order — mary stuart finds Stuart, Mary.
Type at least two characters before results load.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”Documents and invoices are gated by matter visibility: you only ever see items attached to matters you have permission to open. A matter you can’t access never appears in results.
Finding everything about one record
Section titled “Finding everything about one record”Search is how you get to a client or matter. To see everything related to one — their matters, documents, invoices and history — open the record from the results and use its detail page, which is the home for all of that record’s related items.
