Public Pages Editor
The Public Pages editor is where Athenty platform super-users change the legal pages published on athenty.com:
- Privacy Policy (
/legal/privacy) - Terms and Conditions (
/legal/terms) - Disclaimer (
/legal/disclaimer) - Cookie Policy (
/legal/cookies)
The editor is reachable at /admin/public-pages and is visible only to users
with the platform super-user flag. Organization owners and admins cannot see or
use it.
Draft, then approve
Section titled “Draft, then approve”Editing never changes the public site directly. Every change follows two separate steps:
- Submit for approval. The editor saves your text as a new version with the status Pending Review. The public page keeps showing the current wording.
- Approve. A platform super-user reviews the pending version under
Legal Documents (
/admin/legal-documents) and approves it. The approved version becomes the live wording and is published to athenty.com with the next site build.
Anatomy of the editor
Section titled “Anatomy of the editor”Current status
Section titled “Current status”The banner at the top says which version the public site shows, who approved it and when. If no version has been approved yet, the site shows its built-in text and the editor starts empty — paste the full current text to create the first version.
If a newer version is already waiting for approval, a notice offers to load it so you can continue from it.
- Write — the page text in Markdown.
- Preview — the formatted page.
- Changes from live — a line-by-line comparison of your draft against the
live version. Added lines are marked
+, removed lines−. - Authority and Source link (optional) — the law or regulation a change
relies on, with an
https://link to the official text.
Removed sections check
Section titled “Removed sections check”If your draft removes a heading, link or legal citation that the approved text contains, submitting stops and lists every item. Restore it, or tick it to confirm the removal is intended and submit again.
Version history
Section titled “Version history”Every version, newest first, with its status, submission time and approver. Load into editor starts a draft from any version. Compare versions shows the differences between any two versions or your draft.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Submit for approval is disabled | No changes yet, the text is empty, the source link is not https://, or a listed removed item is neither restored nor ticked | Make a change, or correct the link |
| Submitting lists removed items | The draft drops wording the approved text contains | Restore the items, or tick each to confirm |
| The public page has not changed | The version is still pending, or the site has not been rebuilt since approval | Approve it in Legal Documents, then wait for the next site build |
